Christophe Piallat is a photographic and installation artist based in Los Angeles, California. Christophe’s career began in the late 1990’s when he transitioned from film and stage carpenter to commercial and fine art photography. Christophe has developed a unique synthesis of photography and installation art, which he has named “Living Photography”. His practice is interested in capturing light and transforming materials. His manipulation and illumination of everyday materials such as paper, plastic , aluminum foil and garbage bags transform the mundane into the supernatural. Christophe has a masters in Fine art from the San Francisco Art institute and has installed artworks in the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art , Holland Biennial, Santorini Biennial, SCOPE Art Basel, and the Lumina Light Festival.
