Summer Manhattan Beach

Kerry Stitt, a resident of Redondo Beach, CA, has been an artist and photographer for over 35 years. Her photography has been featured on the cover of El Segundo Scene Magazine, and in WestWays Magazine, Easy Reader, Orange Coast Magazine, Hermosa Newslwtter, El Segundo Scene, and Corona Del Mar Plaza Magazine. Her artwork has been exhibited at numerous galleries throughout LA and is part of the permanent collection at Resin Gallery in Hermosa. Her photos can also be found on utility boxes in Redondo Beach and Manhattan Beach, and in hotels throughout the country.

Since obtaining her FAA drone certificate in 2016, Kerry has expanded her artistic practice to include aerial cinematography, working on real estate projects and being hired by The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce to shoot a drone video for their 2017 summit. She has won several awards for her photography, including recognition from LA Artcore, WestWays AAA Magazine, and TOCA.

Living at the edge of the Pacific Ocean has profoundly shaped Kerry’s artistic vision. She has always been driven to live by the sea, finding her way to the coast in 2010. The ever-changing moods of the sea, the interplay of light on water, and the dynamic beauty of the coastline are central themes that flow through all her work. Through aerial drone photography, she captures perspectives that reveal patterns and colors invisible from the ground, transforming familiar coastal landscapes into abstract works of art.

“There’s an undeniable excitement each time I send my drone up—never quite knowing what I’ll discover from above,” Kerry says. “My goal is to create photographs so vivid that you can feel the salt air and hear the rhythm of the waves—images that transport viewers to that precise moment where sky meets sea, seen from above.”
