Featured Artist: Gayle Kabaker

Gayle Kabaker is an illustrator, painter, and filmmaker living in the Berkshires of Western Massachusetts. Kabaker is married to successful Editions Limited artist Peter Kitchell. The couple's creative and supportive home environment has not only helped them to produce amazing work but also inspired their children to become artists. Both Max and Sonya have experienced a large degree of success so far. Max is cultivating a career as a photographer and has started to show in galleries within the United States while Sonya has released an album that was featured in Starbucks as well as toured with Herbie Hancock.

As an accomplished illustrator, Kabaker has the tools to create fashion based imagery as well as beautiful floral works. The artist's initial love of art came from her childhood caretaker, Martha Vaughn, whose fashion illustrations appeared regularly in the Washington Post. Vaughn encouraged Kabaker to go to the Academy of Art in San Francisco to become an artist and develop her signature style. Kabaker's light brushstrokes and detailed compositions make every piece a worthwhile addition to your residential, hospitality, corporate, or healthcare project.
