While studying color photography at the University of Nevada - Las Vegas, Haya became fascinated with the unique results she could achieve by producing photograms using everyday organic objects. Photograms do not involve a camera or film, but use a process of light source, color filters and lenses to expose organic matter directly on to a color photography paper. In her work, Haya uses a variety of fruits, vegetables, and flowers as her main subject matter.
