Laurie Chase is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin with a Bachelor of Science. In addition she studied at the Art Institute of Chicago during four summers in the 1960s. Laurie's work has been exhibited in one woman and group shows in galleries throughout the US and Europe. Her explicit and graceful depictions of boats combined with peaceful, brightly colored settings have generated a continuing interest in her watercolors and paintings on canvas. Those who appreciate Laurie's artistic and technical expertise in depicting boats may do so on both land and sea. Many of her paintings have been purchased by the Princess Cruise Lines and are also exhibited in Princess Line Galleries at Sea. Among the corporations that have collected Laurie's work are Catholic Healthcare West, Mellon Bank and Nestle USA. The artist is a member of the American Association of Marine Artists.
